Last Saturday, KR Steppers were guest performers at a charity event called Ride For Hope. We put up a short performance for Dr William Tan and the other 40 cyclists at Alexandra Hospital, one of the six pitstops for the cyclists. It was a really meaningful event and I'm glad that Steppers could be a part of it! I think we were all touched by Dr William Tan's admirable effort to do his bit for charity despite the many obstacles that stood in his way. He is really an inspiration to all of us! Even though life has been so unkind to him, he still has such a strong will to live, and devotes his time to make life even better for the people around him. His selfless character is worthy of our respect! The medicine students who cycled the journey with him also deserve some commendation. Despite their busy schedules, they are still willing to take time out of their heavy schoolwork to do their bit for charity. Compared to them, our short performance is just a small contribution that we hope could spur them on for the last stretch of their journey to NUH.
